Walkers only! Hike the three miles of paved trails through 112 acres of majestic forest in the Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center. The sloping rocky woods are a haven of beautiful wildflowers, towering trees and tangled vines. Each season renews the landscape and a frame of mind as you wander the trails. Special note: pets, jogging, and bikes are not allowed on the trails. Powder Valley is an ideal place to go for a challenging walk. The many hills give walkers a chance to push themselves to the next fitness level. The tranquil wooded setting is a great place to escape. Directions: from the intersection of Interstates 44 & 270, take Watson Road to Geyer Road. Turn north on Geyer for 200 yards to Cragwold Road. Go west on Cragwold for 1 mile to the Nature Center entrance on right. Located nearby, half a mile from the Nature Center, is Emmengeger Park. The park is 108 acres of forested hills overlooking the Meremac river.
