Coral Springs

By Bob Birch - Ralph Diaz Memorial Park, one block south of Royal Palm Boulevard on University, behind Red Lobster. It is a hidden gem, through a small ancient forest, beautiful - try it on a moonlit nite! Distance: 1 mile loop, marked, 34 turns!, watch for gators by canal. Surface: dirt path, 6 feet wide. Watch out for small animals late at nite. Safety: somewhat remote, careful after 8 pm, I have run at 11 pm with no problems. Fitness nearby: Coral Springs Aquatic center, 2 miles West of University on Royal Palm Boulevard, featuring weight room, basketball, world class diving and swim center.
