By Bob Birch - Location: A1A at Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton. Palmetto Park Road to A1A. Distance: your choice, the course is out-and-back. Running to Spanish River Boulevard, then to the bridge and back to Palmetto yields about 5 miles and change. Surface: walking/running path along A1A, asphalt. Problems in some areas where the path is not flat. Safety: heavily traveled. Parking: free, either along Palmetto Park road or in the lot north of the convenience store on the Northwest corner of A1A and Palmetto.
