Loves Park

Rock Cut State Park is located near Loves Park and Rockford in Winnebago County. It offers forty miles of trails, for runners, mountain bikers and horseriders (with some portions of the trails restricted to hiking only), covering 3092 acres and enveloping Pierce Lake and Olson Lake. During the winter it is ideal for cross-country runs and snowshoe trainings. Rock Cut State Park also offers access (at the Pierce Lake spillway) to the Willow Creek Bike Trail and Perryville Path, a paved trail system connecting the local communities of Loves Park and Rockford. The park's main entrance is located on Highway 173, one mile west of Interstate 90.
