Extending from Hattiesburg to Prentiss through Sumrall, Bassfield, and Carson, the Longleaf Trace is South Mississippi's premier running, walking, hiking, biking, and equestrian trail. It is a beautiful linear park, 41 miles long (the ultrarunner/horse trail is 25 miles long) and fairly flat, being a rails-to-trails conversion.
