Fenton

Fenton park covers over 95 acres of land along the scenic Meramec river. A 1.4 mile path circles the perimeter of the park and is ideal for running, walking, bicycling, or rollerblading. The park trail travels in a loop, but ambitious walkers and runners will find paths that connect to five other area trails: Valiant Park, Riverside Park, the Meramec Greenway, Fabick Nature Preserve and George Winter Park. A Spur trail from the main loop can be taken south through downtown Fenton to George Winter Park to make a nice out and back 5 mile run. Fenton Park is easily accessible to all of those living in southwest St. Louis County. The park is usually bustling with runners, walkers and bikers of all ages and abilities. The run to George Winter takes you along the Meramec river through a nice wooded area complete with a newly constructed bridge and plenty of solitude. Directions: from westbound I-44 take the Soccer Park exit and head East towards the river. Take Yarnell South following the river and Fenton Park is on your right just past Riverside golf course.
