Springfield

The Ruth Bascom riverbank bike paths extend from Springfield on the east, to west Eugene and back encompassing both sides of the beautiful Willamette river. The surface alternates between asphalt and concrete. Five footbridges span the river and mileage markers are evident for much of the route. Parts of the bike path are lighted. Restrooms and drinking fountains are always nearby. A popular route for local runners is to run a combination of intersecting sections of the bike paths and Pre's Trail in and around Alton Baker Park in Eugene.
