Huaráz

Another nice trail in Huaráz is the one leading to the Ruinas de Wilcawain. There is a nominal fee to visit the ruins, but the dirt path itself is worth a try. It is a one and a half to two hours walk. To find the trail entrance, from the Iglesias Soledad (church) go south and turn right on Avenida Luzuriaga. Keep running east and the street changes its name into Avenida Fitzcarrald, and then into Avenida Centenario. The trail starts on your right, right after the Hotel de Turistas.
