Where to run in Santo Nome de Deus de Macau (Macau)

By J. Leigh Walker - The Guia fortress, a World Heritage Site part of the historic center of Macau, built in 1622 after an unsuccessful attempt by the Netherlands to capture Macau from Portugal, is a military fort, chapel, and lighthouse complex in the St. Lazarus Parish. Many run, jog and walk early in the morning or in the evening along the trail surrounding the Guia hill, one of Macau's tallest, greenest and most picturesque hills. The path is traffic-free, well shaded and wide enough to accomodate runners from both directions.
