Lviv

Established in the early 1200s, Lviv is one of the main cultural centres of Ukraine. The historic city centre is on the Unesco World Heritage List, however runners will find that the Kaiserwald park, now renamed Shevchenko Hai, in the north-eastern part of the city is the best place to run. The beautiful green area includes a number of miniature villages that are part of the Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life, a fascinating insight into the real life of Ukrainian people in 18-20th centuries.
